The Tahoe Poetry Collective is back with another summer poetry series, "Open Mic Poetry at the Backyard'', sponsored by Chickadee Art Collective and the Tahoe Backyard taking place on the second Wednesday of the month from 6:30 p.m.- 8 p.m. at the Tahoe Backyard located at 8428 Trout Ave (behind Bank of the West).
The Tahoe Poetry Collective’s purpose is to foster community based literary expression in the form of poetry, prose and spoken word. Open Mic Poetry at the Backyard is open to the public.
Call for Poets, Musicians, Writers, Comedians, and Humorists:
This year we're offering up an open mic in a welcoming and encouraging setting. Musicians, poets, writers, comedians, and anyone else wishing to share their work on mic are welcome. All ages and speakers of any language are welcome to participate. No hate speech will be tolerated.
*Hate speech: abusive or threatening speech or writing that expresses prejudice against a particular group, especially on the basis of race, religion, politics or sexual orientation.
